The aim of my research in the broader project in our lab is to understand the process by which serotonin encodes and decodes information, contributing to cognition and decision making in mice. I will be using a variety of techniques based on calcium signalling and electrophysiological recording. These methods will be coupled with serotonin-modulated behavioural tasks to unravel the computations underlying serotoninergic signalling in cognitive processes, decision making and prediction in the mouse brain.
